The Clumber spanielklubben celebrates 45 years as a club and this year our club show has some extras of everything. We hope as many as possible will come and celebrate with us.

We have invited Mrs Constance "Connie" Holt, kennel Companionways, USA to judge as she judged our show earlier in 1993 when we celebrated 15 years and held the 3rd international clumber seminar.

We look very much forward to welcome Connie into our ring again.

We get together on friday evening to have some fun at the retreivning challange where everything can happen.Cocos Retrevial cup, in which the fastest dog wins. All kinds of help is allowed (except punishment). We bring our own barbecuefood and drinks and after the cup, we eat together.

On Saturday the 5th of August it is show time. We have a big and nice table with prices for all. Everyone will also recieve a jubilee gift.

Here is a presentation of our judge, Mrs Constance Holt, USA

Judge presentation

I have been involved in the dog show world for over 50 years. I started showing my family’s home bred Newfoundland at the age of (8) years old in confirmation. I was also involved with obedience with my Eng.

I started handling professionally at age of (18) years old, owned commercial boarding, grooming kennel in Hope Valley, RI. I have shown a wide variety of breeds for clients and traveled all over the world to do so.

All during my career handling, I have actively been breeding Clumber Spaniels for over (45) years under the prefix “Companionway”. My breeding program is worldwide with the joint effort of breeders from Finland, Sweden, Netherlands, and Denmark. In 1993, I had the honor to judge the Clumber Spaniel Club Show of Sweden. In the U.S. my bloodlines have produced multiple group placing, group winners, and National Specialty winning Clumbers. I was past president of the CSCA as well as served on the Board and Committee of CSCA Standard Revision and past CSCA Judges Education Coordinator for over (7) years . In addition to Clumbers, I still am breeder of Sussex Spaniels.

My involvement with actively breeding Sussex Spaniels came with acquisition of an Eng. Import on 1993 This dog went on to be a significant winner (record holder) for 5 years, and top producer in the breed. This Sussex ranked #1 from 1993 to 1997, 1999 to 2001 and more. Companionway Kennel is proud breeder of the 2000 SSCA National Best of Breed winning Sussex from the classes that year, and the first agility Champion male Sussex, and seventeen (17) All Breed Best In Show winning Sussex Spaniel, and bred and owned a two time SSCA National winner.

Judging JS is always a thrill for me to see the up and coming young handlers for the future of the sport of pure bred dogs. Having judged the 2010 CSCA Sweepstakes at the CSCA National gave me upmost joy judging the puppies, veterans, and all the hunting classes at all levels that year first time. I still remember my exhibits and winners. I was honored to be nominated by the CSCA membership to judge the 2018 CSCA National Specialty as well. I am sure today I will have many more wonderful exhibits to remember at the Swedish Club show.

Today, will be the greatest privilege in my life to be able to judge the Swedish Club Jubilee Show. I thank you all for this honor and cherished time. I know there will be quite a few exhibits that will put a smile on my face. Best of luck to all. Thank you

Constance Holt
